How durable is the M9 leatherette?

Just wondering how long does it take for the leatherette to wear off and need changing on the M9, especially the steel grey version which I understand is different from black and silver bodies.

Has anyone had to change the leatherette (not for estethic or pimping reasons 😀) ?

Since the M9 was released I have never ever heard of anybody needing to replace the leatherette due to wear. Sure you hear of the odd time that it has lifted due to the glue not holding, but never worn. Some people do feel the need to replace it with boutique offerings on the basis that their fingers are so delicate only snake skin or the finest leather is acceptable, but you know from that where their priorities lie🙄

Thanks V-12, that sounds good. The reason I'm asking is because the leatherette on other brands is quite fragile and doesn't withstand regular use.
