Here's how I would have ended it... they all get wacked, every last stinkin' one of them. Then you hear the sound of a cell phone - a "We're in the Money" midi...
... Cut to Bobby Ewing, played by Patrick Duffy, in bed waking up groggy, answers his cell phone.
... on the other end you hear the tinny voice of Larry Hagman, Bobby tells him he had an incredible dream, and says "No, I didn't hear anything about an evacuation. I can't just leave right now."
In the background, a loud screeeching is heard, and what vaguely sounds like sleigh bells. Bobby Ewing runs to the window and is "shocked and awed" to see Gamera, giant flying radio-active fire breathing space turtle/"friend to all children" in the sky.
Gamera lands on the front lawn of Bobby Ewing's estate. Bobby Ewing is frozen with terror, but manages to get his Konica Auto S3 off his dresser near the window, as Gamera approaches. Bobby Ewing focuses and snaps a picture, drops his camera and lets out a blood curdling scream as Gamera approaches and destroys the Ewing mansion, killing Bobby.
