Yesterday at late afternoon. I shoot my "first " 120 roll in my "new" Zeiss Ikon Bob 510/2 made in 1941.

Went out yesterday, but the heavily falling snow was a bit of a deterrent, for image-making and mood. Did make one frame. Day before I shot a roll of HP5, day before that three.

It's been 6, no 8 days ago since I have taken any picts. Last Saturdey I took my bessa L and 25/4 down on the streets of Salem College, an old Morravian community thats like walking into another part of history.Old cobblestone streets & old homes, stores, & artifacts. Good part is, that it's only about 25 min. from my house. I'm hoping this cold spell with all this wind will let up soon so I can get busy in the Russian rf contest.

Still walking around searching for things to shoot for the FSU contest, last picture was some 36 hours ago. There is that tree I like to shoot but haven't gotten the picture I have in my head.
tree in front of my window
No blossoms up to now, but it can't be more than a week or two

8 days ago. Quite unusual for me, as I usually shoot daily because the more I shoot, the better I get (merely my subjective assessment).
On 31 March I woke up with a fever of 102 F and had my partner, Barbara, take me to the Copper Queen Hospital here in Bisbee. In the ER the temp had risen to 103F, so my friend and personal doctor, Syed Azam, ex-rayed the old lungs and declared that I had pneumonia. They let me out Friday. Temp's been normal since Wednesday.
Pissed me off as I had several shoots planned involving using my "new" Leica IIIf. But, during that last week in March I did manage a couple of rolls in the IIIf. Darn things works just fine. As I had purchased just the body, I fitted my trusty C/V 35/2.5 in the first roll and, later, My Canon 50/1.8 for the second roll, and developed and printed them straight-away.
Good camera, great lenses. I say good rather than great because I'm not used as yet to the little rangefinder/viewfinder peepholes. From the Bessa R to the IIIf is indeed a step back in time, but it's fun trying to master what my predecessors apparently used so effortlessly.
Glad to be back with all of you,
Ted

Ted,
I'm glad to hear you are on the mend. No doubt a bit more rest and you will be back at it. Best luck with the IIIf.

Thanks, Bob, it was a bit of a surprise indeed. However, and as we speak, I'm cutting that weird long leader on a 24 exp. handload of TriX, ready for precision installation tomorrow AM.

the snow must go on
I had a day out in Amsterdam. I viewed three small photo exhibitions incl James Nachtwey's Testimony, and...made lots of photos. ABout two rolls. One sensia200 and one PF4+ at ei250, to be developed in diafine.
And the last action of the evening: i picked up the konica hexar af, the main reason i went there.
But i had a kick shooting in the nice half-sunny weather and all the interesting people around me.

I average about 1.5 rolls of film per week, but I supplement this with digital. I try to take at least one interesting pic every day.
