On Thursday, I had a couple of auctions I had ended on eBay, and I sold two items to the same person. The guy who bought them bid just before the end, so I know he was in front of his computer at that time. I sent the invoice a couple of minutes later, but still haven't received the payment - or any other word from the buyer for that matter.
I was just wondering, how long would you wait for payment? And how long before sending a "kind" reminder? He purchased goods for $4000, so I kind of want my money...

I usualy write in the description that payment is due within xx hours/days. But don't worry, he's probably just transfering money to his account or something. Or maybe the eBay-mails go to his spam-folder in the e-mail.
Have you tried contacting him through the eBay contact form?
Ps. Maybe he used a sniping software/webpage to place a bid for him, that's very common.

I always pay within 72 hours, but I think the eBuy standard "grace period" is ten days. No need to worry just yet.
