Out of curiosity and a candid question : why do some of you use more than 10 cameras ?
For me, each one does certain things better than the others.
The Coolpix 990 lives mostly on a copy stand for digitizing documents, images to be posted to the web, and occasionally it comes off to photograph stuff that I sell online.
Canon New F-1--birds and low light.
Voigtlander Perkeo II--the pocket 'blad--it goes anywhere in my jacket pocket or briefcase.
Bronica S2a--mostly travel and more dynamic studio portraits where I need strobe sync and want to use an SLR. I've got a fairly extensive kit with lenses from 40-500mm and lots of accessories, but I'm using it less than I used to, compared to my view cameras. I've considered selling it, but prices on medium format gear are so depressed these days, it's not worth the trouble.
Linhof Tech V23b--I think this one will eventually take the place of the Bronica as a travel camera.
Linhof Tech V 4x5"--The camera I use most, on a tripod as a view camera, handheld as a press camera. I use it for travel when I know I'll have more time for photography, particularly if I think conditions will be too windy to bring the 8x10" Gowland (which turns into a box kite in the wind).
5x7" Press Graflex--Great available light portrait camera that makes negs big enough to contact print. It's an SLR with rack and pinion focusing, so it focuses very quickly.
8x10" Gowland PocketView--Ultralight 8x10" camera for landscapes and architecture. I'm doing more albumen prints lately, so the 8x10" and larger cameras are getting out more to produce big negs for contact printing.
8x10" Sinar P--Ultra precise 8x10" camera for the studio. I use it for still life and portraits. I've also got a sliding 4x5" back, which is handy for portraits.
7x17" Korona--For panoramas to be contact printed. It's not such a cumbersome format, and it lends itself to certain kinds of landscape. I'd also like to try full length portraits sometime with this.
11x14" American Optical--Fairly light for a camera of this format--about 15 lbs. I use it for landscapes and architecture and some portraits, particularly when I want a big contact printable neg, either for albumen or regular silver printing.
