Have owned means don't have anymore.
First was some odd P&S in 2003.
One more less odd after it.
Canon 5D by 2010.
Canon 5D MK II by 2014 or so.
Leica M8 around 2015.
I still own more than have owned.

Nine Digital Cameras
HP Photosmart 618
Sony Cybershot
Sony Mavica
Fujifilm S5100
Fujifilm S600fd
Fujifilm HS10
Fujifilm X100S
Fujifilm X100F
Pentax Q7
For the last two years, I have been shooting almost all on film. In my regular use stable are 13 cameras with Barnack Leicas and copies in the lead.
In my "have shot in the last two years" category there are about 25 more.
In my non-shooting collection, there are at least 50 plastic promotional and transparent cameras plus 25 assorted folders, 35mm and other film cameras.
I've never totaled my camera collection number before but that makes it about 100 total cameras.

Probably close to 100 I would think...

Don´t know if it makes any sense to vote this old poll from early 2018 but here it was >15 for sure.
Mostly Fuji, Canon, Sony. APS-C and Bridges, pockets and ultracompacts...
And another four years later it will be >20?

Six:
Nikon D70 Shot it until it died.
Nikon D300 Shot it until it died--but then resurrected it by putting another shutter in it, then I had to put a third shutter in it, and when that one eventually died, I let it go peacefully. (The damn thing had way over 500,000 exposures on it)
Nikon D700 Still going as my back up camera.
Nikon D810 Current camera shooting outside the studio.
Fuji X100s Nice camera, but I just didn't get on with it; wasn't near as much fun to shoot as my (film) Leica Ms. Sold it.
Hasselblad 553ELX with ancient Sinarback 54M (so *functioning* as a digital camera). My current studio camera, and even though the camera itself is 25 years old and the digital back is 17 years old, it's a pretty amazing combo for portraiture.

Somewhere around 40, starting in mid-1980s with Koala MacVision digitizer connected to Macintosh 512K desktop computer (1-bit output!)
I bought and resold a lot of small-sensor cameras because I was bored and hoped to find one with a nice gritty, mid-fi look. But this was mostly wasted effort, as the majority of them applied noise reduction with a heavy hand and/or suffered from ugly sensor artifacts. Ricoh GX100 was one of the better ones. But as I later discovered, half-frame 35 mm film cameras loaded with high speed film also deliver the goods.
In recent years, my buying has slowed to a trickle (trying to avoid boredom-buying), and most of it has been Sony: Not very gritty/mid-fi, but useful. Really am surprised that the cameras which I've kept the longest should come from a company known for producing motion pictures, radios, robotic dogs and game consoles, but so it goes.

I have had at least 4. It was sad to watch all of their values go to essentially zero over the years, while my film cameras have all held their value or even gone up in value. I do not shoot enough to justify purchasing a digital camera whose value quickly depreciates into oblivion. I do wish I could go back and take every digital shot I liked and use film instead for that same shot.

Way too many over the years. I don't like the fact that few are still working. Unnatural Causes with the exception of the one that I dropped.

Olympus C220 .....Only digicam I could afford at the time. still works
Nikon D70 ....First DSLR great but slow AF .. sold
Canon digital Ixus can't remember the model..... replaced the C220 as my compact take everywhere. still works.
Nikon D1h....Faster AF than the D70. still working but rarely used
Nikon D80.... More MP... sold got a Leica M5
Nikon D300..... finally the speed of the D1h combined with a decent resolution and low light performance for the time. Sold got D700
Sony Nex C3..... give the new mirrorless stuff a try small with the 16mm lens but eventually got the zoom. daughter borrowed it and wore it out.
Nikon D700.... full frame here we go, yeah D700s are great but heavy. Still got it and use it. Its a keeper all the camera I really needed.
Fuji XE1.... maybe this can replace the heavy D700, great image lousy AF this would be traded for a D800
FujiX100.... now finally a replace for my Canonet or poor mans Leica, great cam slow but still got it.
Nikon D800.... best DSLR at the time, great sensor AF was easily as good as the D700, I think it was better. still got it. More than I will every need
Sony A7...... wanted a Nikon DF but found the Sony A7 was a better manual focus body for my Nikkors. still got it finally last year bought the 50mm AF lens after years of manual focus.
Panasonic GM1..... little travel camera... still got it but phone get more use now. best travel cam ever for me, should have got the GM5 though for the viewfinder.

Just two; a Fuji X100 which I purchased, and a Pentax K-01 I received as a gift.
I'm still waiting for a digital that is as simple and straightforward to use as a classic 35mm film camera.

Cameras. I has it.

Yes, that’s correct. If your hobby interferes with your finances - such as struggling to pay bills - or interferes with relationships - such as ignoring your wife - then it has become an obsession or perhaps mental illness. Otherwise, if cameras or whatever just consume a fraction of your money or time and all else is well, then it’s a harmless enjoyable hobby.

Only four, not counting phones and tablets, which I find surprising given that I've been into this stuff for 14 years:
Canon G9—sold.
Nikon D40—still have and still use on occasion.
Canon SD880is—given away to ungrateful friends.
Nikon D7000—still have and still use.
I got rid of the second digital compact around 2012–2013 and have been using iPhones for my compact digital camera needs ever since. Can't save I've really missed them, although I am thinking about getting a Ricoh GRIIIx. I mostly prefer to shoot film and have a half-dozen film cameras.
