Very interesting thread.
I am considering a folder myself for several reasons.
I had a fuji GW690.
great camera overall. Two things made me sell it:
1- It's big. not the kind of camera you could have with you all the time.
2- for the kind of photography I intend to do on MF, a 90 is a bit too wide. I prefer a normal lens.
Now: Given the square format is not for me, and the 6x7 is even too squary for me, I remain with 4.5x6 or 6x9 folders. I just wander if the 6x9 has real advantage over the smaller format, especially given the film flatness issue.
Also, I could take a fuji GS645 in place of a much older 6x9. Do you think the fuji, with its better optics could beat or be equal to say, a bessa II ?
I am not going to do wall size enlargements, and I'll work handheld...
