Just curious.

I shoot Canon digital ( 2-5D's ) for about 60% of my work. It was higher but I really like shooting film and have gone back to it with my Nikon kit, Hassy XPan, 4x5 and now my newly acquired M6 and 35 2.0 Asph.

If I am not on deadline, I will shoot the M6 now since it is such a joy to use, keeps me real & in tune. I love the look and how simple it is. I can see getting a second body, 50 1.4 and 75 1.4 Lux down the road.

I shoot stock, fine art, advertising and magazine editorial work.

What do you all do?

70% of my photo income is on film, but shot on the 6x7, 6x9 and 4x5 (shooting architecture and products in studio)

the 35mm, 6x6, and digital ends up being mostly for fun. 🙂

(mostly)

Unfortunately less than 5% of my commercial work is film now and that's 4x5. In the early years, late 60's and early 70's, I made my entire living with my M's. Large format soon took over and then medium format as film got better. I still shoot film for art and much of that is Leica M's.

Not ready to abandon my Nikon just yet, but... I shoot my first of two solo weddings in about ten days time. It seems every time I speak to a bride they like the idea of B+W.

I figure I'll shoot about five rolls and the rest with Nikon D200.

Trying to sell my house and the new one will have a darkroom.

I think someone shooting B+W and film in general makes a unique selling point, and if the quality is good they will stand out in a crowd.

So... 0% now, but hopefully 50% in two years time.

I am like Don. At least 97% of what I do commercially and some art, is digital. I still shoot film for myself - Leica, Xpan, 110, 1/2 frame, KMZ FT-2, and an 1898 Kodak Panoram.

a lot of the commercial stuff I do is digital, cant help that, I need results fast and need to know if things worked out. A lot of my print sales and stock photo stuff is film but its getting harder as many places want higher and higher resolution.
