I have about 30 rolls to develop sitting around for a long long time...
Many of them (60%) are Plus X made during the early sixties, stored in Antarctica (Belgrano I Base at -15C) for another 10+ years, exposed during the ´80´s at different EI from 100 to 400 ISO, and later stored in the fridge for another 10+ years.
Hope this year they´ll become pictures.
I admit, this is shamefull.

Cheers
Ernesto

That's a pretty amazing story. I hope you share these photos with us!

Two at the moment. I wait until I have enough to make the trip to the lab worthwhile. I usually have 4-5 rolls of 35mm and 120, black and white, chromes etc. I'm all over the place!
It's not a negative to me because I like the distance from my frame of mind during the shooting, and I enjoy my afternoons of scanning and sleeving. That's what I'm doing right now!

Colour I usually drop off at the lab soon after shooting. With the black and white stuff I usually wait until I have enough to use up a gallon or two of developer and fix. Also, I have a wicked allergy to photo chemicals so I usually wait until I have enough to make it worth it living with the pain for about a week afterwards 🙂

At least 20 rolls...some in the frige, some in the closet, some in the photo vest (taken this weekend) maybe two or three B&W but the rest are color...
Maybe ten rolls of our daughter's high school Marching Band (most will be developed within the next few months) some rolls are from last year or the year before and will most likely never be developed...
I don't see it as a negative because I can get them developed...I mean the pictures are still there...in potential...

I have one undeveloped roll of 120 on the kitchen counter from my KW Reflex Box (now there's a roll of Portra 160 loaded in that camera), I just picked up a black Pentax SV that has a roll of Tri-X almost done, and my Contarex has one last roll of film in it before I sell it off tomorrow (I'm comparing it to the Pentax).

Oh, and my Contax I has a roll of Tri-X in it, and it's waiting for the Pentax and Contarex rolls to be complete....it's so patient!

I just sent 13 rolls to be developed and scanned. Had them since last Thanksgiving (2009), so it's been too long. Always nice to see the images, though, since some turn out to be (un)pleasant surprises!

Fewer than 15 rolls, mostly colour that has to go to a lab, B+W I do myself. But there are almost 100 sleeved neg pages (from the last 3-4 years) that need to be contact printed.

This made me check, always have over 10 now, as internet purchase is the way to go here. 11 x 35 and 13 x 120 .No one, has complained about using up fridge space yet , still waiting on that😀

I like the way shooting film lets me separate shooting from making the image. When I shoot, all I think about is my subject and how it looks with the light hitting it the way it does. Later, when I am printing or scanning the negatives I will give picture making my full attention, and not get bogged down in shooting/camera issues.

So no, not a negative. By the way, I have 8 exposed rolls right now, if you count the 3 partial rolls I have in cameras.

None, though i'm not shooting any B&W these days, so send the exposed film out as soon as possible after it comes out of the camera. With B&W I typically wait until I have a few rolls to soup in one session.

4-9: all Tri-X. I'm away from home, and so away from the ability to develop. I doubt the friend who's house I'm staying in would love me for chemicals in the laundry and I'm certainly away from my scanner and normal workflow. I'm about to switch to my C-41 alternatives (XP2, BW400CN and B&W conversions of Kodak Gold 100 and 200). But I had some unprocessed film, and I had some other film where I needed to finish off the rolls. And some occasions that just cried out for Tri-X. So I have an accumulation. But I have a need to be away (a 6 month contract; because I need the work) and so will arrive home (whenever that is) with a backlog to work through. I'm sure I'll live. But there are some photos I'm itching to look at...

...Mike
