i want to stock on more 120 b&w though and 4x5

My vote was 51-100. Mostly B&W, and a bit of color: Tri-X and TMax100 & 400 in 35mm and 120, some Portra 160 in 120 for portraiture, and 20 new rolls of Crossbird I just bought for cross processing. I ordered all the 20 of them in 35mm only, because I saw it has big grain, and I want it present even on small prints. I haven't had the time to try the first roll of Crossbird yet, but soon I'll be enjoying a lot for sure. It will be the first time I do it without using Kodak slide film. Fuji slide films give strong casts I don't like.

Hundreds of rolls of 35mm (or 100' cans to make those rolls).
Maybe 100 120 rolls, I don't shoot as much MF.
Hundreds of sheets of 4x5...just bought 400 sheets of TMX last month and just got 100 sheets or so of C-41. Still have a couple hundred sheets stashed of Velvia, E100VS, and T64.
A few boxes of 8x10 x-ray film.

BTW Montreal is a great city. I'll be going back again because our visit was too short. Funny thing is tourists were taking pictures of me and "Maggie" and we got stopped by a fashion blogger on the street and were photographed. We also hooked up with Lolitta who is the biggest fashion blogger in Montreal at Indigo where "Maggie" was interviewed after a fashion discusion. "Maggie" is turning out to be a big blog queen. Yesterday Maggie launched her own blog.

The world is not that big.

I just did an inventory and came up with @275 rolls. Lots of Ektar 100, HP5, Neopan, T-Max, and more slide film than I would have thought. 65/35 35mm/120

I buy 35mm and 120 usualy 10 rolls at a time. I buy boxes of sheet film as I need them. So I have a few around, but weeks or months supply, not years.

Did a quick inventory: 5200 ft of Doble X (400 ft cans), 1200 ft of Orwo UN 54 (400 ft cans), 20-21 cans of assorted 100 iso film in 100 ft cans (mostly Acros 100 and some FP4+ as well as some wayward 100 ft cans of TriX/Neopan 400, All in all about 2500 ft. 150 rolls of Arista Premium 400 and 40 rolls of Neopan 1600. Some duplicating film from Orwo (6 and 3 iso). Some 300 ft of Tech Pan - there might be more in the far reach of the freezer.
120: 80 rolls of Tmax 2-400, 10 rolls of Acros 100 and some Agfapan, some HP5+ and 3 rolls of Tech Pan 120.
All in all. enough to keep me busy for the next 20-24 month.

Maggie's blog exploits the use of my Monochrom and is mostly B&W.

There has been a bit of a huge ground swell lately. On our vacation in Montreal (only 5 days) "Maggie" met Garance who is probably the most sucessful fashion blogger ever at a reading event.

Maggie then got interviewed and photographed for some Montreal print artical by Lolitta who is the biggest fashion blogger in Montreal. It seems that Maggie will soon have to add a "press" section with a link on her blog shortly.

Next on the street near Montreal's Museum quarter we get stopped by Alessandro who is another big fashion blogger who we later discovered has 70K followers. Alessando has been "pushing" Maggie's blog (only been up for two full days) and the analytics indicate so far a response 5 times the average. We expect to see Alessandro soon during Fashion Week.

At this rate I expect we will be in in the tent a year from now for Fashion Week in Lincoln Center.

Also know that breaking off on my own has added to my development as a photographer, and that this fall I intend on buying a 27 inch Eizo and loading ink to develop skill printing. I'm a much more evolved shooter today, and the Monochrom is displaying some heavy wear. I wore through the vulcanite in one place and you can see a patina where I'm wearing through the black anodize on the top plate. My Monochrom does not look like a two year old camera. Understand that the shots shown on Maggie's blog are j-pegs that are straight out of the MM.

I love Montreal. You live in a great-great city. While we were there we did not take one bus or subway and we did mucho walking. It was wat too short a visit to explore everything.

I think just exploring the underground city and learning how to traverse a good section of the city without being outside could be a great challenge for me.

I will definately be going back.

Ah, Neopan 1600. May Fuji burn for this. 😀 But what good would be to hold on to a massive Neopan 1600 inventory? Last I used it (last year, a few rolls donated by a noble RFfer), it was acceptable, but it was also losing speed. Fog was a problem.

What one needs is an ISO 640 film, with tight grain, that will take kindly to a 1.5 stop push. Something like an Ilford Delta 640/800 film. :angel: It'd be the hit that Neopan 1600 once was.

You could get around a fair bit of downtown underground, but not the entire city. Also, winters are pretty dark here, make sure you get enough light, staying underground will drive you crazy.
