How much film do you shoot?

I'm in the 50-100 roll group who wishes that they shot more. For me it is 2-4 100 ft rolls of Tri-X and 5-10 rolls of Fuji Pro H. I need to get back into sheet film. That'll be my new years resolution! 😉
 
My photography is divided around 70/30 in favour of digital, and depending on time and enthusiasm, I shoot about 5-10 rolls of 120 film and 5-10 rolls of 35mm film each month.

My usual choices for 35mm include Tri-X 400, Neopan 400, and Velvia 50.
I also have a lot of Superia 400 that I sometimes load into point and shoots that are part of my kit, or I use the Superia 400 to test newly acquired or recently repaired film cameras.

For 120 film, I usually shoot Tri-X 400, HP5+ 400, Ektar 100, and Velvia 50.

I used to shoot Portra 400 in 120 format as well, but to be quite honest, my APS-C digital camera gives better results than that >_> ... Perhaps the same reason can apply to the 35mm Portra 400 that I abandoned. The very high price of Portra from my usual sources doesn't help either.

Perhaps one day I will be able to afford large format photography.
 
On average I shoot 1 roll per day of 35mm and sadly only 1 roll per week 120. I really must lift up my 120 use. Film is cheap here and so is Pro Lab developing. Just got back from 3 weeks travelling abroad and sitting here happily scanning 20 rolls of various B+W. Loving every minute of it.
 
Just shot 25 rolls of 120, Portra 400, Provia, Tri-X, Extar, over a 2week vacation recently. At home i shoot about 2 rolls of 120 and 4 rolls of 35mm per month. I need to get out and practice more. Also need to get a scanner for both formats. I really enjoy your images, Chris. Thanks for sharing.

One or two a month over the last year but I am trying to find the time to shoot more. All black and white 35mm home developed and currently Ilford Delta 400 Pro although I have some Tri-X stashed away as well.
 
Past years have seen 120-140 rolls of 135-film and maybe 25 120-film
I am slowing down alot this year and just shooting a fraktion of the former amount. Maybe 30 rolls in all. The quality has not suffered I hope...
 
I send out my film for processing, and I generally send between 25-40 rolls ever 3 months. I guess that means I shoot 100-150 a year, I'd estimate?
 
Last December, I counted up the rolls of film I had on hand (102 rolls), and created a plan to use them all this year (complete with a spreadsheet assigning every roll to a particular camera, and even putting the rolls into labeled ziplock bags in the refrigerator). For various reasons (weather, health, inspiration level) I haven't kept up with the plan, but so far I've shot 57 rolls of that film in 10 months.

In the meantime, I've purchased and used other rolls of film, perhaps up to 30 more rolls, but haven't kept exact records. (For example, this summer I got the bug to finally fully understand the Zone System, and I bought 10 rolls of fresh 36 exposure TMax 100 for that purpose. Five of those rolls are in OM cameras right now, at about frame 26. That's been slow going - it takes time to set everything up to take 5 identical exposures with 5 different camera bodies. Hopefully I'll finish the rolls and develop them this weekend.)

I've shot color negative, color slide, and black and white. The formats were 135, 120, and 220. The majority was 135 color negative film. My favorite was Efke R25 in a Yashica 124G.

My original goals this year were to become more familiar with the gear that I have and with the various types of film, and to become better at composition and lighting. That's been somewhat successful. There's still a lot more to learn, and practice.
 
I shoot about 10-15 rolls per month, a mixture of 120, 35mm and occasional rolls of Minox. I do my own B&W developing which saves a lot of money, and get C-41 and E-6 processed by Peak Imaging here in the UK who have a good quality, good value mail order service.

My big regret at present is that I rarely have time to get into the darkroom and most of my films only ever get scanned and ink-jet printed.
 
I shoot about 5-10 rolls a month, 90% of them in B&W (self-processed).

There's not much film choice where I live and it is more expensive than in the US, so I buy everything I need from B&H.

In a few months, I should have some time to build a darkroom in my basement... I can't wait to try printing!

I was a digital guy, but started shooting film about a year ago when i tried my late father's Minolta SRT-101. Now, I'm hooked and only shoot film. Thanks Dad!
 
At least 1 roll of 35mm a week. I started late in life, so I'm only up to about 500 rolls shot. My lifetime goal is 1000. I have also requested to be buried with my M2 and 3 rolls of Tri-X.

I have shot more than 200 rolls since april. I keep a folder of all my rolls, but quite often each folder contains multiple rolls when it is processed by the shops.

I used to shoot a roll a day but recently found myself shooting a lot more because I bulk load with cheap film with Polypan f, Arista Premium, more recently Fomapan 400.

Since last Thursday, I shot about 30 rolls, 15 from a studio shoot, and 15+ from casual shooting.

I have recently switched to AP 5 roll tank which is better than developing from a 2 roll tank 3 times.

Western Australia. If I walked into a shop that actually stocks Provia 400X, my favourite all round film, it is $40 a roll for 135. I can find it online from over east for a bit less, but then including shipping it goes back up. Overseas is much cheaper but the expensive shipping then only makes bulk purchases worthwhile.
I will say though, that while it is hardly cheap, I at least have the luxury of two labs that will do E-6 processing and don't have to mail them out.
 
Probably 40~50 rolls a year, about half your amount. Perhaps less next year as I get busy in retirement. Of course my photography produces no income, as a hobby it is all outgo.


However I am a camera tinkerer. Love to experiment so my total also included 16mm Double-X shot in my Minolta 16II cameras, about 10 rolls of that in the last 3~4 months. I have to wait for cold weather to set up the darkroom in our small apartment bathroom. That way I can stand to be in there and so, wet printing of selected negs begins about this time of year.

I like Freestyle too but lately their price for Fujiflim Acros 120 size is over $1 more per roll than B&H price. Ouch, I had to order my last 15 rolls from B&H. It may be Fuji is raising prices and B&H has not increased their price on material already in stock. I would have ordered a 100 rolls and chucked it in the freezer but that much on the MC would have had the little lady in a tizzy.
 
I shot much more film until last year, actually I'm more involved in editing, sequencing, laying out the projects I'm working on. Therefore not more than 2-4 rolls a month (35 and 120 when in an Holga mood).
