How Much Is This Lens Worth/Sell For?

Hi guys,

How much does a Leica-M Elmarit 28mm 2.8 lens go for? Serial number is in the 2768xxx range?


I bought a faulty plaubel makina that was listed as good condition and I am trying to exchange it for something of similar value. '


The seller is listing the lens price as 1,117 USD. Is it worth this aka if I sell it can I get this exact same price for it?

The ASPH goes for about +/-$1500 in excellent condition. All others go for sub $1000.

Can you give a more exact price? Its a non-asph version. So are we talking like 700?

You guys are nuts. Version IV has been going for $1400+ for some time now.

I always thought that pricing guide was a little stingy. In the real world it would be a miracle to find one that cheap! I bought my IV for $1469 at KEH in EX condition with the caps and case last year. Now they're going for $1700+

Yours appears to be a version 2. A version 2 sold for $1000 on ebay recently.

Currently completed listings over there show between $1100+ to over $1600. Of course depending on model, the point is none are below $1k and it looks to be an average of $1400-$1600.

With that in mind, $1100. is at the low end of the average $$$

I finally had to chance to update my Leica M lens pricing page... WOW. Many lenses have gone up 20 to 35% since last year.... Also, some of the rare items have doubled !! I also noticed the deviation in prices is larger than ever !
