i don't have one!.
i hate them.
if my friends want to talk, not text, let's meet.
Nobody on Facebook has a friend. A real friend.

My Samsung SII has a really nice 8Gb camera, and I use it all the time for progress shots and records of things happening in my shop. One thing that it's particularly good at is close-ups. I haven't used it for anything really serious yet, but not because it couldn't handle the job.

I really like shooting with my camera phone, something I found surprising, but having a camera that is always with you is a great boon. Unfortunately, the quality of my camera phone is not great, and very similar to my first digital camera, with the heavy handed noise reduction announcing itself loudly in anything printed larger than snapshot size.

EDIT: I voted every once in a while for my camera phone usage, but that would change to all the time, if I had a better camera phone. I never imagined being so taken in by the combination of touch screen and the ability to edit and post/ share in real time, but I like everything about the cameraphone shooting experience. I can very much see why compact camera manufacturers should be very concerned. A camera phone is all the camera most people need/ want for snapshots.

I use mine everyday, mostly for instagram.
Though the camera in my phone is great on its own.

i think it would be nice to see in the future iphone7 probably where , canon , nikon etc make interchangable sensors on the iphone and lens mount so you cana use iti like a mirrorless cmera

I have worked in construction and found the phone camera useful as a tool, and I don't mean as a hammer! You can record an issue with a physical construction element and send it to someone quickly to deal with. It also saves writing things down. Otherwise I never use mine beyond recording information for later use.

Camera phones I find just awkward to use.

More and more of the time. The iPhone 4S camera is excellent, and it's panorama function works extremely well. I just printed a pano made with it to 32" leng, it looks amazing.

My wife & I were at Target shopping last Saturday, the Saturday before Thanksgiving. My cousin calls and said my aunt (her Mom) had a note on a rocking chair to give to my wife. My wife hesitated. My aunt and uncle have taken up living in a senior residence. She is 97 and he is 101! My cousin, who has an iPhone, just like us, said she'd take a pic. and e mail to us. She did, we received the pic while still at Target. My wife likes it! Called my cousin back and they said they'd deliver it to our house in about 1 hr.

They did and we visited for about 1 hr.

Fun!

And smiles!

Use the camera in my iPhone all the time -- nice to have handy, and I can use it to instantly send a scouting photo to a client if need be.

I use the camera in my iPhone all the time and have actually managed to take a few good snaps with it. What makes it viable to me are a few things.

I always have it with me.

It shoots color, unlike my other cameras which only shoot b/w.

I like the poor quality of the tiny sensor. The 3G was really great in this respect.

The HDR feature of the iPhone actually gives a useable amount of dynamic range. Better than many compacts.

But I don't use Instagram, Hipstamatic or any of the other programs that process your pics in to uniformity.

What????

What????

I don't know how to get my camera inside my Cell phone. Besides that, I leave my cell phone at home because it has voicemail. So, that would never solve my problem of never having a camera with me.

Pretty ludicrous question if you don't mind.

This "one take" panorama made with the iPhone 4S prints to a stunning 32" x 6" size and looks great. It's amazing, really.

I never use it for photos, only to record whiteboards at the office, or for videos, where the wide depth of field is an advantage (AF on HDSLRs is useless).

I have had an iPhone, iPhone 3Gs, and now a Samsung Galaxy SIII, all with integral cameras. I use a cell phone as my camera of choice when I want to share the photo with someone NOW. On top of that, the iPhones were pretty good at capturing a quick snap.

The 8MP SIII, in the right light, used in the right way, could be capable of doing "Serious Work(tm)", as long as you aren't printing too huge.

The phone has suprising dynamic range and really saturates the colors. Images from the SIII pop. And the phone camera has quite a few controls, including Exposure comp, manual white balance presets, manual or auto ISO, flash, macro mode, even spot, matrix, or center-weight metering.

The S3's ease of use and the fact that the screen isnt cracked like the one on my Optio A40 means that I reach for it now as my usual backup/sidearm/camera that's always on me. Once I buy myself an RX100, we'll see how often I reach for the Samsung.
