How often do you use the camera in your cell phone?

I only use the camera on my phone...in an emergency for documentation. Often the best example is a truck has arrived a my factory and the pallets of glass are now looking like they were hit by a tidal wave...and cases of large numbers of cases are broken...you have to shoot photos in the presence of the driver and at the moment of delivery for insurance purposes...otherwise getting a claim paid is not going to happen. Also having the photo to show the freight company as why the shipment was refused. Then those images are worth their weight in gold !! But as images...forget it.

I only used it 4 or 5 times, during meeintgs, at work, to document the drawnings n the white board. The image quality is just too bad to waste my time on it.

I have both the IPhone 4S and Nokia N97 I think the Nokia is superior as a camera. low light performance of the Iphone is TERRIBLE. I found out that I just cut off the plastic shield/cover in front of the carl Zeiss lens on the nokia and resolution plus flare resistance became much improved. The Iphone I use only for lightmeter, notebook, music and of course text SMS messages, oh yeah sometimes even for calls when I want to flirt with my girlfriend...

OK, this is purely for fun and to waste time. It is really not meant to start flame wars, rants, arguments, or any of that. Obviously a camera phone is not a serious tool. tha being said, just about everybody has one, so let's hear it!

What I hate about my iPhone camera is that it takes several seconds for it to be ready: click home button, swipe camera icon, stare at stylised picture of a closed aperture for ages and only then can you start framing.

The iPhone 5 camera is much better than the iPhone 4 was, and I think it works better with the Camera app than Camera+. Camera+pro made the 4 work pretty good.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. I like my phone because sometimes you're out of film, left the camera in the car, need something to caputre a shot in a pickle. And just becuase you're in a pickle where you don't have a camera with you that doesn't mean you can't TRY to capture a good pic.

Then there's the filter adding.. You can share your pics and throw in a quick and dirty filter. Makes for a fun pic. I'm not expecting it to be shown at ICP but I enjoy looking at it.

Unfortunately I don`t have kitten shots, only "pussycat" shots with some red hair... they would be censored immediately, so no idea of posting, in the first place...

I use it for note-taking. For example, if I'm out somewhere and have a bottle of wine I like, I'll snap a photo of it on my phone. And other similar instances. But rarely for actual photography, unless I have absolutely no other option at that moment.

I do, however, use a few light meter apps on my phone quite a bit with my meterless cameras.

I'm surprised by how much I enjoy using the camera on my iPhone 4. I've printed pretty nice 8x10s from it, some of which look comparable to shots from previous compact cameras I've owned. Not long ago though, I acquired a PowerShot SX260HS which has a 25-500mm lens, excellent image quality, and is the same size as my iPhone (but thicker), so it has assumed the bulk of the pocket-camera duty. I still use the iPhone quite a bit just because it's another fun photographic tool to use.

I am loving the results but am I extremely conflicted knowing my cameras sitting unused. I am using the Ilford B&W filter in the"Vignette" Android APP on my Galaxy S3.
