I use mine almost daily, a cheep crappy cell phone, but it gets the job done. I use it mostly to take notes that I txt to evernote so I don't forget things. and If I have some time to kill, try to take a decent picture of my life at that moment. why the heck not?
should a photographer ever be philosophically opposed to a camera?
sounds kind of silly.

I use the camera to take a mug shot of the person whose number in in the index. If not a person then it would be some type of icon for the listing, e.g. Harley-Davidson logo for the Harley shop phone number. Just for fun.

I have a Sony Ericsson W508 and use its camera often-its 3MP camera can take nice photos and I find its capture options to be a nice assortment-it has in-camera panorama, night and burst modes.

I never use it cause I don't have one, on purpose. Phones should be used for phoning and camera to take pictures shouldn't they ?

I am a died in the wool analog shooter but I use my iPhone 4's camera function a lot especially if I use the light meter app. As a point and shoot the iPhone 4 is pretty powerful and I'm stunned at what I can get from it.

Even though I use the camera only to pair photos with callers I've seen some excellent work from cell cameras the best being Damon Winters essay from Afghanistan linked here:

Shows that there is a time and place for everything.

I used to use it so often that I picked up a Canon S95 to carry with me. Great little camera, though the iPhone 4 camera is better than nothing.

My home phone doesn't come with a camera, so can't use that........
My cellphone/mobilephone/handphone come with a crappy "camera", used them maybe a handful of times, and that was after a lot of buggering from the better half..... so I can have her or my liitle angel's photo as wallpaper

I use the cell whenever we straighten the bumper of my truck with a wooden barrel, ancient payloader and homemade forklift.
Some of my complex and technically sophisticated images simply overwhelm my other cameras.

A few favorites with either my iPhone 3G or 4, can't remember exactly which ones were shot with which phone... All of them were edited in-phone with various apps.

I use the camera on my iPhone 3GS all the time, sometimes even while I'm carrying a "real" camera. It's a different tool that gives me a different look and it's fun to play with. Having it around actually got me back into the habit of looking for photos wherever I am. I've also noticed that I can grab photos that I could never have gotten with a camera simply because no one pays attention to someone fiddling around with a cell phone. I'm probably never going to get shots suitable for big prints, but that isn't the point.
I took this one on a whim one night while I was waiting for my wife just because I liked the light. Turned out OK and again, it keeps me in the habit looking for pictures, which will help when I'm carrying a more capable camera with me.

I upgraded to an iPhone 4 last week, and the camera quality is markedly better than my old iphone. Still noisy in low light, and saturated in bright light, but I like having a decent point and shoot in my pocket. The flash sucks though.
Here's a shot in the yard yesterday. It seems to do great with macro . . .

Yes. Even THAT phone is a pain in the a$$ sometimes!
I had a friend who only had a pager. When he got a beep he would check the number. If it was someone he knew and wanted to speak with them, he would go to a pay phone and call them back. Smart guy!
No pay phones left nowadays though.
In my day, that type of man was called a "drug dealer".

I have one of those military-grade rubberized cellphone. It works perfectly as a phone but it doesn't have a camera, which is ok for me because I prefer making phone calls with a phone and take pictures with the camera.
My wife, however, has one of those fancy-schmency android phones with 5MP (supposedly) camera, and I have to admit, that her cellphone takes much better pictures than my cameras make phone calls

I use mine a lot for snapshots, and it's great! Certainly as good as the first digital p&s I owned.
