how old are you?

I'm 34 and just discovered rangefinders. Over the past month I received a few parcels from the FSU. I'll have to do a lot of testing in the following weeks...

33... I think most of my rangefinders are older than me... Zorki 2C, Leica IIIa, Kiev 3a , Minolta A, Century Graphics 35, Retina IIa, Mosvka 5, Argus C3 and Konica S.

The Konica S2, GIII QL17, Yashica GSN, Canonet 28, Zorki 4 & 4K are all just a little younger than me.

I turned 50 earlier this summer. My Dad bought an Alpa Model 5 just before I was born which he made a gift of to me this year -- hard not to feel sentimental using that camera. A Contax IIa body I use was also made in 1954; I know that I deteriorating at a much faster rate than the cameras are.

It appears that I am the grand old man of the group. I'm a vintage 44 years of age, and have been using rangefinders and SLR's since the mid 70's.

After spending most of my life scrambling up the big granite walls of the world, toting around heavy packs and heavy SLR outfits, I feel like I'm older than Methuselah. Does that count?

russ,
if you want to go by how old you feel, well then, i still just might have ya beat.

however, i would never try to take away one's ailing rights so ok, you're old too. ;)

Are you even aware of your Freudian slip? "Aleing" rights? Your mind is obviously on focusing fluid, as it should be...
