how old are you?

... I guess the Title of "The Old Guy" belongs to me. I turned 73 on my last b-day.

No objection
BTW, congratulations for your grandchild

Brand new to this board, welcome to all---- I'll be happily celebrating number 50 next April.
Why have I joined this group? In the last year I've bought a Retina IIIc, two Zorki 4's, two Balda SuperBaldinas, 4 different Arguses (Argii?)---- and that's just the rangefinders. Early gift for said #50 is a Leica digi 'RF', the Digilux 2.
Hope to learn alot from this group, and maybe have something to contribute as well.

Welcome, khingdheano! You are evidently well-qualified! I've been curious about the Digilux 2, and impressed by member HelenB's photos using one. Do you like the more-analog-like interface?

I am very pleased with the interface. Full manual control in the same manner as any of my RFs, it is really great to use. Not like a digital camera at all.
Hmm, I was going to edit my previous post, and somehow deleted the image, and I can't get it to let me re-attach... my visage must've done damage to the server!
Well, I'll put it on this one----

Hi all - I joined this forum just over a week ago, shortly after receiving a Bessa L and CV 21/4.

I'm 53, like a couple others, with 2 sons: 15 and 9.

I've been 25 for the last dozen years.

Hey, a couple weeks ago I just started to be 25 forever more :D

And welcome Furcafe, like your 'life as a contact sheet' idea !

Is there any way we can generate a graphical representation of all our ages? It may have to be a poll with 50 or 70 options.

I am 26 -- young, but old at heart. I am in graduate school for history. I like old cameras, old books, old music and vinyl records. All that said, I still like new technology...I just think the old stuff has more character. Life is uninteresting without character.

54, going on 7. Was approaching 29, but I'm just back from a trip to my childhood home in a tiny mining town in N. Ont. and it's like the fountain of youth :)

Hey, a young new guy!!!

Welcome Incroyable to the RFF.

What are you shooting with? I am wondering film or digital just because of your age, but don't hold that against me please. Have any pictures to post?

I have one camera younger than Incroyable. It's digital!

Hello,

I don't really like digital cameras so I shoot with film. I have a Rolleiflex TLR 3.5E, and Canon AE-1. I used to also have a Rollei 35SE. Currently I am thinking of either a Contax IIA or maybe a Leica IIIF.

Unfortunately I don't have any uploaded photos.

welcome incroyable!
