Yes, the age distribution is close to that of a Uniform distribution.
This shows that RFF members could be of any age between 20-60, with an average age of (20+60)/2=40.
Suddenly, I am older than the average! Statistics sometimes is not good ...

I'm a year older than my Rollei 2.8c which just had a CLA. I wish I could have the same done to me!

I just turned 43 nine years ago. All my cameras are brand new. Film is never going to die. My wife says I live in denial. I don't believe her.

I'm 48, three years younger than dad's M3 bought in 1955. That's me on the right in 1965, taken with the same M3 and Summarit I still use today. I'm assuming it was Kodak 100ASA film of some kind.....I always remembered yellow boxes, I don't know if Tri-X was out at that time. I also vaguely remember a huge white Braun electronic flash and an even bigger recharger for it.....it must have been cutting edge back then when a lot of people were still using bulbs. I recall blazing movie lights when he took indoor regular 8mm films, and getting a backhand when I took apart his MC meter to 'fix' it. Maybe that's why I'm a member here, so many dim childhood memories include photography.

At the moment I post this, there have been 115 voters. What amazes me most is the even spread across ages from 20 to 60. I'd have thought that RF's and interest in them would be most prevalent amongst those who are 40+, that is, those who've experienced photography before the proliferation of SLRs..

I am 26, and my girlfriend told me I am still like a child; but then my hair dresser said I looked like 32. Family still call me by my childname (since age 0).
The oldest lens I got is a 1951 Prominent Norton (Silver Ring), fellow a 1955 CZO Sonnar.

Old enough to remember when you could walk into a photographic shop and buy Kodak Panatomic X, Agfa CT-18 and Ilford 935 cassette refills off the same shelf as PX-625 mercury batteries - and I'm only 42!

Shaken, so blurred
Younger than my M3 and Zorki 4. The same age as my Zorki 6. A lot older than my Hexar RF.

I too wonder if Mango got a letter from the Queen. The question is, which one? At 78 I remember Lillybeth driving an ambulance for the cameras.

I am enjoying my youth so much more now that I'm past it! I hated my teens, disliked my twenties, don't recall much of my thirties, and have started to like and know myself in my forties. The fifties are going to be a blast!IGMeanwell said:25 ... for a couple more months
