How to attach filters to Iskra?

I can't figure out what is a thread on the front on the lens.
anyway, it's too small to take common size filters (49mm is a smallest size available in our stores).
I know that it would be hard or impossible to change shutter speed after filter attached. Anybody tried to overcome this issue?

I use a Series V to VI adapter with series 6 filters and hoods. The Iskra takes 33mm filters-but the thread pitch is an odd size. The series adapter isn't a perfect fit but it's good enough.

A push-on filter for a Flexaret (II through V) fits inside of the lens ring quite nicely if you bend the tabs out a bit. You can even close the camera with the filter in place if you set the lens to infinity. Ebay seller Cupog usually has a set for sale.

I have to admit to using three very small pieces of blue tac to mount my E49 IR filter on my 35mm Nokton when using my M8 if I think there will be a bit of black synthetic around. It actually works very well ... you can't even see it when the filter is sitting in place and it comes off cleanly afterwards! 😛

it says it is 30mm. does it fit tightly inside the lens ring and not fall out ?

That is the one. It fits inside the lens ring. The filters have two small tabs which are supposed to grip the outside of the lens. If you bend these out just a small amount, the filter will fit securely inside the lens ring.

The B&W (Biermann & Weber = Schneider now) filters of the size 33E screw in correctly. They are no longer made. I have some + a foldable hood. One filter can be left on with the camera folded. The aperture ring can be lifted and turned then. On the filter I can clamp a Series V! filter adapter for other filter types + a hood.

Measured the 33E filter thread: 0,5 mm pitch, outside diameter 32,87 mm.

For the information of all friends, Iskra original hoods do exist and are occasionally sold by Alex photo goods, or on rare times a yellow filter is sold with a camera attached.

The latter case happened to me and I took out the glass to use the frame of the ring as the basis for step up rings, giving me option for 49mm filters (just in my case this is the size where I have most) and/or hoods of several sizes (I use now a 37mm one).

I mean to say that once you have a single filter with the correct thread you can do a lot.
