I am a wedding photographer. I am shooting a wedding in Europe this summer. I am just wondering how to find models who are willing to work with me in exchange for the photos.
People recommend Model Mayhem. I have never used it.
I mainly looking for single models and couples for taking photos at interesting places.
How should I go about this? Is there anybody here who also had the same problem before?
Thanks so much!

You don't need models for wedding photography.
Instead price your work so you are giving your customers a discount if they allow you to use their pics in your advertising. Make sure you have all the needed model releases.

You have music on your website

Didn't know anybody still did that..... got me off guard!
Anyway, what the bartender said.
BTW, where do you find people in the states to do work for free?
Also, Europe is a big place, countries can differ significantly.

Otto, you have some excellent work on your site. Really top notch wedding photography. I thought your use of music was great. I am a big fan of using music on websites. I know a lot of people think it is cliche or unsettling, but I think it really adds a lot to a website based on the content of the site and what music is used and how it is used. Also, it was very easy to disable the music on your site, for those who choose to do so.
I think Model Mayhem may be a good place to start. Perhaps others on here will have more insight?

Friends and family is a good place to start. I may be getting the wrong end of the stick but I assume by models that you're talking about the "professional" ones that will help draw people onto your website?
I've seen numerous wedding and portrait photographers' websites which have had some very (and I don't say this in any bad or critical way) ordinary looking "models" and, in many ways, this can suggest that the potential customer feels less pressured into feeling they have to look like they've just stepped off the catwalk....

Sorry to come so late to this thread haring, but I hope there is still time to suggest you contact art schools and the art departments of other schools. Though it has been many years since I have been attendant at one I do recall that students there are not only often in need of some extra cash but usually have an intense interest in the final product as well. Not being actual professionals they are likely to be willing to work for less. Art supplies are expensive!
