Film is the other way
I've used expired film.. Konica if you can find it, it scans terribly and 'works' for me to get that look. These were taken with a TLR

Yes I didn't like fuji look on my photos (probably because weather in moscow is often clouded and dull), though I liked how saturated fuji is according to flickr search results.
What would you advise then? Some NC portra? I don't have experience with colour film, I am avoiding it like plague for some reason.
I vote expired chromes left in a glove compartment for a few months.
It gives some fun, though not so predictable results.

Yes I remember this shot. Even back then I was asking the same question
By the way, speaking of agfa. Have any of you tried their current colour films - vista, precisa, star? I've never seen it in our shops.

I still have plenty of Agfa film in 120 format. It is ASA 160 Portrait film.
Agfa is quite inexpensive in Germany.

Use outdated Agfa film. I get the 60's colors that way.
Yes, AGFA Ultra Color 100! Here's of mine:

I got ten rolls on eBay for $40. It's actually not outdated, it's still current, up through next year...

Thank you for all your advices.
While suffering this night from earache I was watching flickr.
That is what I think:
- aristacolor looks good (can order from freestyle)
- ferrania solaris looks good (freestyle too)
- agfa vista looks good (can order from lomography, expensive)

Let's share:
500 ft Agfa 100 for less than $90.
You get around 100-110 rolls of 36 exposure film.

If you can order from overseas, just order the real thing.

Thank you, I will consider this option.
P.S. Too bad that sometimes one cannot be 100% sure about his job/wallet prospects.

If five people share this offer, each pays less than $20 for 100ft of Agfa film. Shipping may cost more. Just watch ebay for special offers when you can afford to buy.

I was going to suggest Ferrina Solaris. Has a look all it's own. I like it. What color films are available in Russia?

I've been dying to get back home to post on this thread, I can never remember my login stuff. paulfitz72's, idea is interesting but I can't completely figure it out. Maybe I'll PM him, if he doesn't jump back in. Here is one that I tried to do the 60-70s on:
