Same here. Are the users taken off the list after a while?

If so, thank you "ymc226" , thank you "avartabedian", it was great doing business with you.

It seems like it would be a lot easier if there could be a "leave feedback" button within the ad, that the buyer (and only the buyer) could click on. Unless I'm missing something . . .

Alternatively, you can use a direct link (without quotes):

Just replaces the XXXXXX with the user id # of the person for whom you wish to leave feedback. This can be found by clicking on their profile. It will appear in the URL in the same uid=XXXXXX format.

I'm missing something. The instructions above don't work for me because there is no "Members List" appearing when I go to Classifieds. Yes, I'm logged in, and I see Home, Subscriptions, My Ads, My Watch List, Profile, but no Members List as shown above.

Has something changed? Is there a new way to leave feedback?

Update: I was able to find my seller's profile in Classifieds because his ad was still up. I located it and clicked on his profile, proceeded as shown in the first post.

I wonder what to do if the seller deleted his/her ad once the item(s) are sold? Conversely, what if I'm a seller and I want to leave feedback to a buyer? I'm not sure how to proceed in those cases...

The trick is, IMHO, to get the other party's feedback page while their ad is still visible.

And, since many will not be able to navigate all this, make a record of the URL for your own feedback page. Send that to the other party once the transaction is complete.

Leaving feedback using a URL and RFF member's ID

Leaving feedback using a URL and RFF member's ID

Here you go:

Step 1 - look up the member ID by going to this URL and entering the member's ID in the Search Members box.

http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/memberlist.php

Step 2 - Click on the user name to display the member profile. Note the last 5 digits of the URL for the member profile. This is the member profile ID. Example: I entered 'Bill W' in the Search Member box and came up with 50764.

Step 3 - Cut & paste the URL below and replace the 5 digit member profile ID (23043) with the 5 digit member profile ID from Step 2.

OPTIONAL

For future use, you can create a URL (Like mine) and include it in your signature so others can easily leave feedback for you.

Currently it is not really working for buyer, except writing some words in the sticky thread. But it gives no star.

Comment #9 gives you HTML coding instructions for how to give a star to the Buyer (and Seller), but be careful. Not username, but ID.

The formula in #9 helped me. You need to find the user number.

As you can see below, I put the URL in my signature during periods in which I am buying or selling.

I find it the functionality rather broken ... it's pretty tricky to leave feedback, and it does not show up on the users' standard profile (except perhaps in the classifieds if you put in an ad?).

It's like it is two modules grafted on to a system, there is no coherence in the user experience.

Yes - this is the only way that I was able to leave feedback for the buyer.

I agree that the system for leaving feedback is quite convoluted and difficult. It would help everyone if it were easier and more user-friendly.
