There are two problems with mounting a non IIc lens in a IIc. The first one is the back-focus. The lens can not be inserted deep enough to focus properly. You would have to machine of part of the inside of the mount.
Second would be that you would default the auto-focus mechanism - not a big deal as you can manually focus (if you got the back focus problem licked!).
I did adapt a 60mm Apo lens to a IIc some years ago, but it did have a longer back focus. Cant remember the brand of lens anymore - probably a Apo- Rodagon.
I have a IIc and I am thinking of adapting a 63mm f2.8 EL-Nikkor to it. I haven't started the project yet - and at the moment it is too hot in my darkroom (flat, dark roof and a heatwave!!).
