I'm going to buy one noctilux 50/0.95 coz this lens seems much more attractive than 50/1.0. But noctilux 50/0.95 is hardly to find in leica store. So Anyone who knows how to order the lens, please tell me. Thanks,

I believe it is one of those lenses that is made once a year and most dealers have a waiting list believe it or not. That is why they are going for $13,000 used.

You need to get in line at a store or stores and wait. And wait...

The alternative is to get a Summilux 50 ASPH if you can find one of those and use faster film/jack up your ISO. Not much difference in the rendering of the lenses - do you really need f0.95/f1.0?

If you deceide to buy the .95 I recommend Tamarkin Camera......they are REALLY great folks and will bust their butts for you.

So Anyone who knows how to order the lens,

Pay over the odds to a spiv or go to a an accredited Leica Dealer and order one. Any dealer will take your order, and if they are a bad dealer they will ask you for a deposit. If they say it may be six months keep in there and don't try and play one dealer against another. They all get lenses on order at the same time when Leica have made a new batch, so your chosen dealer will mark up up as a good customer and not a tyre kicker if you go the full course. In many cases delivery will be well inside the time quoted. Patience works, shortcuts don't.

All of the previous replies are spot on. This lens in particular is a hard find, and you'll be paying an extra couple thousand just to jump ahead in line. Places like our store can put them on order for you, but Leica actually does not allow dealers to take deposits on items because of the extended delays in distribution, (They really know how to create and hold demand for their superb products!) so avoid getting scammed and never pay a deposit on a Leica product! Get on a few wait lists, but don't overstretch yourself too much, and just hold on until Leica churns out some more Nocts. If you are wanting to get on a wait list with us, just PM me and I'll get you set up. Good luck on your hunt!

Money talks.

You can probably get one very quickly if you're willing to pay the price. I'm sure some of the HK dealers have one.

well, the best official price is usually in the us or europe. countries that have a high import tax (brazil's is 50%) lead to dealers asking for more, to both cover the import tax and have profit. there is a leica store in são paulo but the prices are like 2x the us prices. to get one with a good price, you might want to get it from an us leica dealer and then travel to get it. it's a way to go around the limitation.

I want to get one under a reasonable price. HK dealers offer much higher price than official.

HK dealers are selling to rich chinese, and its sickening that a company like DigitalREV is taking part in above list pricing.

Right now, only the main western world dealers (and not all) can be trusted to price fairly according to Leica's recommended pricing, and not the inflated used market.

Leica's recommended pricing for the US is in USD of course and since the new Noctilux was released the USD has lost 20% to 30% of its value against major currencies. I placed an order for one and eventually will get one but I know if I can make up for the deficit (say 30%) I can get one from Europe in six months. It sucks but the USD doesn't buy much these days.

BTW I work for an European company and we spend dollars and make Euros which has been pretty good. This is because all suppliers quote in USD. Going the other way, to make USD while spending Euros is not so good.

You and everybody else wants a Noctilux at a reasonable price. If you don't want to pay the inflated prices (I wouldn't), prepare yourself for a long wait.

Its as simple as said by Wes. Nothing more to say about the topic really.
