How to post pictures

I am new here and I would like to post a few pictures and get some feedback. How do I go about posting them? Are there rules and such about posting?

if you are starting a new thread...

at the mid point of the page, heading down, there is a button that says manage attachments' - click on it and you can upload pics from your computer.

If you want to post pics in a normal post, go "advanced" and then "manage attachments". This will allow you to upload the pics. If they are for normal perusal, use the gallery.

My pictures are all jpegs and they are each around 2000K. And the forum limits photos at 1000K. Can I reduce them in size?

you can change the size if you have photoshop or some software that does it.

'irfanview' will do it for you and it's a free download.

Ok, I just downloaded IRFANVIEW. What is the best option for resizing without losing too much of the quality? I lowered down the pixels but the quality went way down.

72 is the max for web posting. anything higher gets lost anyway.
i usually size for 850 on the long side.
