How to remove a blue dust/rust from a battery contact. It is a Yashica 124 g, that I may "inherit", but besides a good clean up in the lens and mirror, the battery contact has that rust issue due to the battery leaking!

Hi Rhodes,
The safest way to clean the terminals is to remove them and soak them in white vinegar and polish them with very fine sandpaper. 400 or even 800 wet-dry sandpaper used for car paint works well.

If they cannot be removed, then you can still used the vinegar but with a Q-tip, making sure none gets into the camera through cracks and openings. It really depends on the extent of the corrosion.

I don't know the 124G but this is a common problem I've faced with a couple of m old cameras.

Thank you. The corrosion is onli in the midle and a very little bit in the terminal, but it easly access and good to control the vinegar droping to outher places. Yes, the camera had the battery in place and it was store for possibly 20 or more years and so leaking is normal and etc.
