How to rewind a film in a Zorki 4K?

I am still trying out the Zorki 4K with the first roll of film. How do you rewind film in this camera? I searched everywhere on the camera for a rewind lever.
Any help is appreciated.

depress the shutter (like taking a photo) then rotate the outer ring clockwise. that should push it down. then use the rewind knob on the left

The Zorki 4k is a pretty darned nice piece of gear. I think the "looks" of the camera is quite nice, and it seems to usually be a very mechanically sound camera. I would be interested in seeing some posted results.

Laurence: I agree with you on the Zorki 4K. I have two other Zorki 4's,but the 4k is neater. The film advance levelis nice, and I like the overall quality of this camera. I will post images when I complete the roll and get it developed.

All Zorki's are loud, aren't they? They are also heavy. They make excellent vintage looking camera outfits, and they are great second bodies if you would rather use a more refined camera as the first camera.

The Zorki 1 is not that loud. In comparisin to the Fed2 it's "very" quiet. 😛

Are you still using that nice Zorki 4k? Now THAT one is sure a beauty. Of course, maybe you passed it on, as sometimes one has too many camera to use. But, I was just curious. 😀

Too bad that the scales on the camera is printed on, rather than engraved. The shutter speeds are most prone. Everytime the dial is turned to change speeds, fingers rub on the printed surface. Enough rubbing can erase all those marks.

Can't speak to the 4K, but I recently bought a Zorki 6 & in combination with my collapsible I-50, that's a really nice little camera. Easily one of the nicest FSU's that's I've used. One of the various nice things is the simple "push and hold" rewind button. Pure simple like everything else about the camera. Plus the self timer and the X-sync work perfectly... 🙂 I just need to get a few pennies ahead for one of Aki's leather kits for it and I'll be set.

I agree about the dissolving shutter speeds on the dial of the Zorki 4K. I can barely read the slow speeds.

I cannot understand what is the problem with loud cameras. It's interesting that my slr yashica fx super 2000 camera is also a loud one but I like that noise. I like them all! 🙂

I'm also an owner of a zorki 4-K but I perefer my zorki 4 from 1957 (I've bought it from a collector) which is more classical for me, it's a great camera.
It is so old - or classical? - looking, that sometimes other guys just like to stop making pictures with their valuable digital cameras and looking my old zorki (and the way I use it). The most important thing that we can make really amazing pictures. My only problem with zorkis is the lightmeter - simply don't like to use external ligthnmeters and the sunny 16 rule is not always giving the best results. It is also true that I have never done a bad picture with my zorkis...

I've handled a 4K and I must say the vinyl covering, the painted numbers, the cheesy 'western' printed name on the front... just didn't do it for me 🙂 maybe it's because I lucked out and managed to get a Zorki 4 with the bevelled RF windows, engraved everything, including the cyrillic name 😀 and the vulcanite is gooooorgeous

on a side note about meters, i recently received a Gossen Sixon 'Color Finder' (you must have seen these on the bay, there's tons of them) free along with my Gossen Sixon 2 CdS. Imagine my surprise when the wee plasticky selenium Color Finder from 1952, worked perfectly! Both match the readings from my DSLR! They shall go with my FSUs nicely 🙂
