anyone? anyone? I just bought 12 rolls of this IR 400, to arrive here in 3 days. I'd like to hear from anyone about how the film performs, how you developed it etc. Or. . . will I be the first person to use it?
I bought the B+W 091 instead of the total black Hoya. Cheaper and will probably give me more of the effect i want.

You'll have to tell us your experiences with it! You might even try it with a yellow filter to see how that looks...

good thing I bought it last week. I now no longer have the capacity to buy anything. Not for a long time.

I'm supposed to get the film on the 15th, and will post some scans within a couple days following. I can't wait. I love IR, but am looking forward particularly to shooting some portrait type stuff with it.

This is actually an interesting thought. How would an IR sensitive film respond to the classic (non Red 25 🙂 ) filters? If HIE wasn't so viciously expensive, I'd be tempted.

I attached some HIE shot through a week red filter. Long ago.
I'm hoping that i can get a similar effect with the Rollei IR400, but it is known for super fine grain and very high resolving power (160 lpm) like Velvia 100. . .yikes. So we'll see. My idea is to shoot some portraits on a hot, sunny afternoon in a very green place - perferrably some wind, and shoot wide open with the 100mm RF lens. Should be gorgeous.
