Hu: 35/2.8 @ Keh

Just snooping the net while at a place with a public box & noticed that KEH has a bargain older chrome 35/2.8 for $165. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but ISTR that would be a good price. I'm broke or I'd be all over it 😉 so better to let someone here perhaps get it.

Which makes me wonder what my "doesn't look like it's ever been used" and CLA'd in August 35/2.8 is worth?

Prices are down on these over at the Bay. Three sold a few weeks ago, I think the nicest went for $165, least was around $135.

Weird. The only 35mm f/2.8 I see on KEH is a Summaron (in EX condition) without a picture going for $525.

If the price trend is correct, I'll use mine. Wasn't really thinking of selling. I've had the lens since forever. One of the family, don't you know.

Here is a jewel that I am supposed to help liquidate from an estate. Its a pretty thing to look at. The problem is determing fair value for the family. I compared some at KEH and KevinsCameras. This one appears better than those I saw at KEH and at least equal to or better than the best at KevinsCameras. What I am finding is that it is one thing to set a value but an entirely different thing to actually get that number.

This is difficult and not fun. I don't like this job.

I was gonna buy it but they wanted $50 to ship to me in Korea--outrageous. I declined. They won't ship USPS international, just Fed Ex or UPS. I won't buy anything anymore from them. When they ship by private carrier, the cost is high and I get taxed (20%) everytime.

KEH won't use the USPS? I compared some shipping numbers the other day.
It cost me $30 to ship to the UK by USPS. On the other hand UPS wanted over $100 for the same thing. It's caca, if you know what I mean.

It's CACA allright. I gues it's too much trouble for them to send someone to the P.O. everyday w/ all the parcels and UPS, etc. picks up.

Ask for $200~$225.
