*bay is aweful, as is paypal. I made and administered an account for my girlfriend to buy some polariod film, a few months ago. The sale went very well, paid for everything, got the package in the alloted time. Then, about two months after that happened she got an email saying she had never payed for the film, and her account was being canceled. This was completely untrue, and both seller and buyer had left postitive feedback. They completely blocked her computer and email from the ebay system, so there was no way to appeal it, because you cannot contact them without signing in. I tried to contact them through my account, giving all the neccisary info, and just got an automated reply saying I couldn't.
My father had an account with paypal, which he wanted to cancel, and they wouldn't do it. He talked to 4 different people on the phone from paypal, each saying they had deleted his account, and everytime he tried to log in to paypal, his account was still active. If this was anything else it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but a company that cannot terminate credit card accounts? Thats bad news.
Although I have never had any problems buying from ebay, I stay away from them now, there are too many ****ty deals going on.

I've alerted Ebay.....sound of crickets chirping....to what is a violation of their policy on shipping charges....I wonder if I'm going to be sanctioned by them eventually, as this will be the third auction I've reported to them in the last several weeks, most recently a copycat ad for a Nikon SP-2005.
They'll probably peg me as a troublemaker soon...
, and take "appropriate" action.
