i have this lens, although not the hood, and it is very good. Well worth getting evan if it is little heavy.

leo, buy this, keep the hood and then sell the lens.
i think you could also use a t-50 hood on the 85.

Yup! The cornerstone of my Canon-cron lens series ;-)
Something to put on your adapter Kim (just kidding I have the right adapter of course.....)
I have to say that I really fell for Canon RF lenses. And with the adapters it is very economical to shuttle between LTM and M cameras.
