Did h*ll freeze over while I had my daily nap? Or has the imminent demise of film finally killed off the resale value of Leica's?

i think its a good thing, now all these great cameras will go to the poor people who can actually put them to good use!

I'm wondering about the condition and accuracy of the RF, however...as said in the description,

"The top plate also has a few light dents."

might this be evidence of a RF knocked out of alignment? might this be the cause for such a low BIN?

I bought from Henry's in the past (a Nikon AF TC). The shipping was very fast. In truth, I'd see to buy it, because they guarantee their stuff, but my Leica wishes and desires have been quenched already.

So, let's bump this one again!

BTW, there's an M2 for $550 in the PN classifieds too.

Of course, I would insist on something with 28mm framelines (meaining an M4-2 or later). The price simply relects the fact that it's in serious "user" condition (i.e. a far cry from "clean"). A decent buy for someone who'll actually run film through the thing.

User M2 Leicas have consistently been closing around or below $500 for a little while now on ebay. I have been casually looking, more tempted by the lowish prices. I "lost" two auctions to snipers who caught me by a $ for two cameras which claims say were recently CLA'd, in solid (no dents or signs of impact) but worn shape. My bids were $475. Just this weekend though two closed above $600 which were in very good cosmetic shape. Depending on what you are looking for there are some opportunities out there to get an M2 bargain.

If I could buy one on an installment plan I would in a second. I still may find one that I don't get out bid on, who knows.

looks rough, I'd hold out for something without "potholes" in the topplate 🙂
