they've outdone themselves this time with sometime like 25 or more of these listed at $2900 AND a 14-day return privilege. Two and half months of M9 production available. Hurry! Don't miss out!

How is it that these fraudsters seem to have no trouble posting listings on stolen seller ID's and eBay seems only to be able to catch them after they post? Let's see how many eager dummies fall for it this time.

Not sure how eBay is supposed to know that a seller's ID has been stolen until the fraudsters actually post an item for sale. After all, the real seller didn't know, or else he would have reported it.

Personally I applaud these fraudulent auctions. Anything that impoverishes the greedy and stupid, and so encourages their ultimate cleansing from the gene pool, is fine by me.

This is a joke, but not for those who got suckered in. I remember someone was selling a Noctilux for $1,900 or so and wanted a payment outside of ebay. I think it was fromm Queens or Brooklyn NY. I am sure that was a scam too. I am glad I bought my Noctilux used from a Professional Photographer that had some class!

Yeh, there are suckers all the time. Problem is the economy is making suckers out of some people who normally are not, and there are evil people who prey on these souls. I cannot say they deserve to get ripped off more than I feel sorry for them in their lack of intelligence or desperation.

I have a friend who is very smart about what is going on in the world, but he is drinking himself to death! All types of people have weaknesses and problems, and getting ripped off is something that happens to more than we want to admit (ourselves?).

Maybe, or maybe not - his response does not say that he does not have any camera, but that he has no M9 to sell over the counter at his store. If the buyer wanted to purchase the auctioned camera off ebay, it would have first of all been a dishonest request on the buyers side, and a negative response by the seller might as well mean that he does not want to get across ebay. Or it might mean that the camera is not in quite that perfect shape and does not bear direct inspection...

Hong Kong dealers can be rascals, and just like at Brooklyn camera stores, suckers run a fair chance to be sold something very used as mint, or something widely obtainable way above RRP. But the dishonest side of their business usually manifests itself in something other than regular ebay fraud - and it does not appear to be a stolen account either.
