Now I know why i thought you had one 🙂 -- let us know how it compares with the other Canons. I am thinking of going for an old summaron, but maybe a canon is just as good.

I find the Summaron 35/2,8 way too costly these days. Its price too off after my 35mm lens comparison. Its images were highly rated by people here.

Dante and others refer to this lens as an excellent lens, equal to rh Summicron.

I've intermittently wanted to play with the Canon 35/2, but I have enough 35mm and 40mm lenses that I'd feel pretty bad about getting another:
Canon 35/2.8
Jupiter-12 35/2.8
Nikkor 35/2.5 LTM
Nikkor 35/1.8 LTM
UC-Hexanon 35/2
Summaron 35/2.8
M-Rokkor 40/2
Nokton 40/1.4
Now, for the Canon 35/1.5 or a Summicron v4 in chrome, I could probably live with the guilt! 😀

Don did a superb job of a full CLA on the lens. Three weeks later, I got back a "near mint" lens with beautiful glass. My buy turned out to be a good thing. I have a Summicron 35 with goggles for the M3, and the Canon 35/2 will be for my other cameras.
