It certainly is at my local branch: plenty of Agfa and Fuji 200 ISO 36 exposure colour negative at £1.29 for 2.

Intrestingly, it's now on the "household products" aisle, not at the checkout, suggesting to me that it may have returned as a regular line. In which case, the more we buy the better!

Now, I realise that many sensitive flowers amongst Lord Snooty and his pals may not wish to be seen in a "discount supermarket". But remember, if you can pretend you own a Leica on RFF, you're equally able to pretend you're in Waitrose 😉

Cheers, Ian

My local Lidl has "Kodak VR 200" (and the 400 version) in packs of two. I think the price is £1.99 for the two rolls but I may be wrong. I've no idea how it compares with the better known Kodak films. According to the boxes, it's actually made in China.
They also had a decent set of chisels for £4.99.....!!

OK then, even better than Aldi, Poundland has rolls of "Truprint" branded film for...err...£1 actually! You don't catch many valets in there...

No! but there are plenty of varlets! The 24 and 36 exposure are cunningly mixed up to deceive incoherant bargain hunters! But... they also sell "delux lens cleaning sets" and surprisingly good mini-tripods too!

We members of the Distressed Gentlefolks Photographic Society must seek our bargains where we can!

I would like to share with you my experience on this matter.
While in Germany 3 weeks ago, I visited ALDI and LIDL discovering the following:
ALDI sells Kodak VR 200 and 400 at EUR 1.79, pack of 2x36 exp
LIDL sells Fujicolor 200 at EUR 1.79, pack of 2x36 exp

In Italy - where I live - I see the following:
LIDL sells Fujicolor 200 at EUR 4.90, pack of 2x36 exp
Esselunga (a supermarket chain, like Tesco) sell Ferrania 200 at EUR 2.50, pack of 2x24 exp

I used all these films with my cameras (Beirette VSN, FED3B, Kiev 4, Canon Eos3000n, Ricoh KR10X) with good results, so I consider them as a good bargain.
I am sorry that Agfa Vista is not available any more.
