Film gets utterly disrespected with digital simulations these days
Downloaded it for me it was the same - the mail never came, had to try again with gmail account (and it went into spam but at least it came).
I tried it the best I could on me various digital files - got to say it's a major bummer for those who actually shoot film. I wonder if the FilmPack "Expert" version is that much noticably better? But with the "Essentials" version there's close to zero similarities with the real film, at best you get a barely noticable "smell" (well, more like smelling a flower through a gas-mask-) of a film they say you ought to simulate/emulate. 🙁
Somehow this doesn't come as surprise. IMHO, most if not all those digital film "simulations/emulations" I've tried are like sticking a plastic penis to a woman in flesh and pretend she's a man in a virtual internet marketing capagn targeted for gays. (with Trademarks [TM] involved of course) 😱 😀 Meaning an utter BS that's not just ethically wrong, but also realistically looks like cheap Chinese plastic PoS in comparison with proper film they're triying to simulate.
Up until now I though film is a nice normal thing, but just got back editing those digital files with film digital simulations supposed to be the best film simulations in the World I've finally figured shooting the real film is just pure platinum in value, with its real analog features represented to their fullest .
In fact I don't have enough bad words to explain how bad those digital film-emulations actually look compared to the real film. Or maybe I'm just a spoiled analog-aficionado?
Anyways, no pun intended, just me 2c on this software as an actual film shooter,
