Hu - Fuji xp1 holiday sale

Waiting on the XE-1 kit. Been backordered for weeks, though the bodies are now ate dealers.
 
If that drops up here I may pick up a second body rather than picking up the XE-1 with zoom lens.

I've been mulling over ditching my SLR kit altogether and use the X-Pro/XE for weddings moving forward.

just read on flickr that someone talked to the fuji canada rep and that the price will drop tomorrow...permanent price change not a rebate!

It's currently slightly less accurate than my Nikon D700 - which was a lot better than the Canon 5D (which I upgraded from back in 2009). I would place the X-Pro1 somewhere in the middle. It's a lot easier with the EVF in low light vs OVF though.

I'm not overly concerned with respect to the ability in low light as I could also drop on my Leica lenses and use MF - which I've also done when shooting my Leicas in low light (which is actually tougher since I try to stay at most at 1600 ISO with film).

Well, if this price drop is permanent, then this camera will have a sweet spot in price. I can't resist it! Fuji is making sense! How about Leica? Naa, Leica is what it is, INSANE PRICING!
 
FYI - for those folks in Canuckland - the Fuji Guys won't confirm or deny the price drop but have said to "wait and see next week" . .

Where is the extra $300 off for lenses?

I went to Adorama's site and I do see the cheaper price for the body but when I added a lens, there was no discount. Where did this come from this $300 off of any lens with purchase of an X-Pro 1 body?
