HU: Nikon 50 1.4 LTM on the bay

In Keeping the tradition of blowing the secretiveness of some sought-after lenses, here's one:

It says it has a little oil on the blades "but is irrelevant" (?), and "the virtually inevitable light cleaning marks on the front element".

Cleaning marks on a Nikkor are not "virtually inevitable." Those lenses had tough, high-quality coatings. The seller is asking too much for a beat-up lens.

I know; that's why I call the place ePrey. Canon and Nikon's coatings are pretty sturdy. To play Devil's Avocado, the price is one of the lowest I've seen on the bay all year (for LTM).

(disclaimer for children under 18: don't go and scratch those lenses to try and find out!!)

I am going to post some pretty sharp shots from my Nikkor 50/2. I think I can pass on the 1.4 at that price.

I agree with the above; the asking price is too high for a Nikkor 50/1.4 in LTM. Maybe a starting bid of $150 and let the auction go where it may go.

i got mine for $350, and it's mint-. this shouldn't go higher than $300, preferably $250.

just a curiosity: his user ID "Telemetro" means "Rangefinder" in spanish (and portuguese I supose)

I picked up a Nikon mount 5cm f1.4 with an S2 attached to it for $385. Camera is a beater, but the lens had perfect glass.
