So, just a heads up on my recent purchase. It turns out that the exquisite photo of the Olympus-35 SP in her ad on photo.net was a rip-off of an EBAY item photo that sold on 31 July 06 (140012995515). If only the one that I received was as perfect as the one pictured. The one I received was nearly perfect, except for the fact that it has taken a major impact in the hotshoe area. The camera appears ok, except for the major depression in the area of the hotshoe. I am hoping to remove the top and re-align things.
The amusing part is that her response to my discovering the facts about the photo was that since she did not own a computer, cell phone, digital camera or even cable tv, her approach was ok. After admonishing her to at least add a disclaimer in the future, she has apparently withdrawn completely from photo.net. All trace of her has been deleted (except for search history).
Anyone had experience in removing the top? Do I need to remove the ASA dial or just the rewind and film advance?
thanks!
