Ray, I shot this at a local museum...hence the glass display 😉 ...The size of th roach is a bit exaggerated though. Believe it or not, the only time i see roaches (2 inches max in size) around my place is after a serious rain....but I trained my chihuahua to kill'em 😉

I've had more than a few folks come up to me over the years to ask "Why are you taking pictures?" The vast majority of people pull out a camera only for special occasions. We're the ones who are weird. 😉 /ScottGee1

Scott, you are very perceptive, and indeed she was taken aback at the photography! She did get used to my doing that, though, and I gave her prints to smooth the way.
I get a lot of people asking why I'm taking pictures, and I tell 'em it's just for fun, no serious use, and I'm collecting shots of "xxxxxx", whatever category they might fit in.
The most recent occasion was when three guys were clearing asbestos shingles off the roof of a condemned building due to be torched for practice by the Fire Dept. I was chatting with their supervisor while the workers asked if I was from the newspaper. "Oh, no, just recording the demolition of this property". It's where the new jail will be built, and the guys were jailbirds out on a work party, and I didn't notice at the time how mean that one looked!
