I have a cashier job now. Not what I need, exactly, but it'll make me money while I'm trying to find a job at a restaurant. It also won't really allow me much gear money...I suppose that's what the prints will go for. 🙂

In any case, I'm excited and relieved at the prospect of going in and working again. I missed it. I go Monday to fill out paper work and then I'll get training all next week. I'll be rewarding myself with the scanner that I really want with my second paycheck, hopefully: the Scan Dual IV. 🙂

Happy to hear that!
Better with money and no time than with too much time but no money 🙂

For shame! You have sold yourself to the Man... You have been reduced to a cog in the machinery; a pawn slaving for capitalistic greed. $%&@ the System!

😀 😀 😀 Congratulations, Stephanie! Let us know how it goes. I need to find more paid work, myself...

EDIT: Just checked out a bit of your photoblog. Loving it, so far!

Pleased to hear the good news! Today I looked at the photos in your gallery -- they remind me a bit of a photo book I really like, it's called The Pond by John Gossage. If you haven't seen it, you should.

Wise man once say: never knock back a job; never argue with an idiot. 🙂

Great news Stephanie - evry day one step closer to "P" ownership!

That's good Stephanie. I worked at a register for a long time. Then at a Camera shop paying the way through school. It's the PYO grant. Pay Your Own.

Congrats on the job Stephanie. Does this mean you have completed the courses at the CIA or that you will be doing that later? Good luck at the cash register or the kitchen, where ever you end up.

yeah, that thread title caught me off-guard!

Congratulations, Stephanie! I'll put that RAM aside for you 😉

Congratulations Stephanie! Do reward yourself with the Minolta SD IV you plan to buy. I use one and it is an excellent value for the money. 🙂

"Working Girl" made me look, I'll admit.

Congratulations on the job! Anything to keep you in film, eh? I worked for two and a half years as a fishmonger- food service has MANY levels. 🙂 Left it's mark, too. I buy a salmon every Christmas for my part, filet it up...
You'll be making exact change for the other register operators for years to come!

Oh, my- I hope you aren't sick on your first day!
