I Built My Own Wooden Tripod

It looks like it might be a good height for a TLR with WLF (waist-level finder), which is how I mostly use my tripod.
Exactly, that's the point: you can make it custom so it has exactly the length you need it. Then you just swing the legs open until the chain stop them, tighten the knobs and you are ready to shoot. Fastest tripod I ever had, the lightest, sturdiest, and easiest to clean.
 
Best wood to use is Ash. Second best is oak. Make certain the wood for the legs is Not quarter sawn.
