I agree. A good thing fortune and karma has met fortune and karma --and fortune. Did I already say fortune and karma? :eek:

I remember that one time a "waste disposal" worker won the New York Lottery a number of years ago, and he said that wouldn't make him quit his job, but still would take the money.

Best to have a prize go to somebody who can use it, appreciate it, or pay it forward.

Thanks again to all. It might take a few days to get my head screwed back on.

My business is photography so I have to talk to my accountant. I think I can declare it as income then write it off as new equipment purchased so no taxes. I hope!

I've give a great deal of thought about whether to keep or sell the camera. I have a safe full of greart cameras and bought a new ZI and 2 a la carte MP's last year plus a bunch of new glass but I've deceided to KEEP this puppy and make images with it. It would be ashamed to let this sit in my safe and never use it and why not enjoy the reward. Cameras are to use and make images and that's exactly what's going to happen. I'm working on a new documentary project with appalachian religious snake handlers. After a quick test that's what I will break it in on.

I encourage everyone to join the LHSA. I've been a member for a number of years off and on but it's a good group to belong too. The reffel tickets are $5 each or 5 for $40. You might get the prize next year!

I've been a member off and on for afout thirty five years and have entered the raffel many times. I purchased a book of 5 raffel tickets and sent them in. This afternoon I received a call that I had won 2nd prize, a new LHSA hammertone MP .72x with 35 F2 summicron asph and leicavit winder. I darn near fell in the floor! I just had to share the great news.

This is awsome. I'm speechless - its, in a way, better than winning money. Trust me - I never won anything more than 40 bucks at a scratch off lottery.
What else can I say - put to a good use.

Good grief! What was first prize? I think you got the better prize. That is an awesome combination. We know you will use it well. Congratulations!
