After selling off my great G2 kit, I've enjoyed months of shooting with my Leica M7. But, something, and I still am not sure exactly what, was missing in my photography. I have great gear, including a digital DSLR, but finally realized that I missed the G2 and those Zeiss lenses. So, back to Keh, and I now have, once again, the G2 with the 21-45-90 lens combo. Nice to be back. :)

My G2 with 35-70 was sleeping in a the box for a while and I just got it back into my hands after I bought a black 45 Planar. It is a heavy machine compared to the Bessa I recently used a lot but it offers some functions I cannot find on any other RF (or point & shoot). I like the Bessa a lot, especially for the VF but the G2 is such a nice system, and the quality and results you get with this Zeiss glass, is.... Will never sell this one as long as there is film around. Still looking for a black 21 Biogon...

I cannot see myself EVER selling my G2 kit (21/28/45/90). The lenses are simply too darn good.

Congratulations! :)

I often have an entire arsenal of cameras on location - MF and SLRs included...but the G2 with 45 or 21 produces such excellent shots that I'd never go without them.

Happy shooting...

i too also love my G2 to bits.
i too probably will not sell it unless i am in a financial crisis.

I think that everyone is on the same page on this one. Is there any other set of lenses that come close to the value/dollar as the G2 lenses. Any other lenses even come close. I bought all of mine on ebay for ~$200/lens. Several were never used.

charlesfoto, congratulations and welcome back to the best of all photographic worlds!

haagen, the 2.8/21mm really is a superb lens. Because it is so good I've purchased the 8.0/16mm Hologon with no distortion.

See chart below (the text means: distortion in % of the image height u)

Where should I go for buying the hologon now ?

Cheers,

javabean.
