I have a Tele-Elmarit; does quite well.

The Nikkor 8.5cm F2 is superb. I have a much easier time focussing the 8.5cm F2 wide-open on the S3 or SP than I have with the 85/2 on the F2A.

...because it doesn't exist, would weight a ton and cost me both arms and legs and head!

I use a Summiron instead 🙂

Summiron huh. Hehe.

Well, if some competition gets some more nice portraits from ya'all I'm all for it. 😀

Ha! Right, I have neither the non-existent Summilux, non-existent Summiron, nor the Summicron. Oops.

I don't have it because my 50 asph can focus at .7 meter.

Indifferent to the different perspective of longer focal lengths?

My Tele-Elmarit does quite well also:

Rodinal 1+50

My Nikkor 10.5cm F2.5 does fairly well wide-open and close-up on the S3 (and SP).

Focus With the RF spot on the Butterfly, compose, and Shoot.

Beat me to it! Nobody has one because it's impossible to have one (yet).

Besides, I have the 90 f/2.8 Elmarit first version. Finally got the Canon 85 f/2 LTM, looking forward to doing some side-to-side comparisons.

But these two were taken with the 90mm Elmarit, wide-open at f/2.8 just this Saturday...

(oh, Fuji X-tra 400, Leica M6 classic)

I, too, prefer an SLR for framing telephoto shots. Besides, my $90 Vivitar Series 1 90/2.5 is more than good enough for me.

at f/2.8, XP2 super

Even better for 135mm, which I find difficult to manage with an RF.

Canon 135/2 FD, XP2

BTW, this is what happens when my 'model' gets overworked. 😉
