It seems there's a few people interested in an XPan. That would include me, with perhaps the small difference that I'm at the point where I NEED an XPanII. After seeing a lot of these pics, I've been bit. If there's anyone out there who has or knows of one for sale with low mileage and a clean bill of health, or new for that matter, I'm likely the guy. I don't have one for sale, but if I hear of any friends selling I'll have them contact you. And may I be the first to welcome you to a very satisfying form of photography... something about covering a third of your surroundings in a single shot, or not, combined with a high tactile "equipment satisfaction" quotient and it is a true winner. There's always models going on ebay, and if you're the kind of person who travels, [especially Hongkong / Japan] - you can pick up them up there for a very reasonable price.

Thank you quantum. I'm hanging out there right now. As a note for anyone else doing the same, there's a scammer who hijacks legitimate member IDs, lists an XPan cheap, tries to get paid through Western Union outside of eBay. Not very sophisticated but nevertheless. Heads up.
