this reminds me of a bumper sticker campaign that made its way through Chicago (and perhaps elsewhere for all I know) in the late 60's or early 70's in support of some evangelical movement.
the original bumper sticker read: "I found it."
some counter group, probably in jest, started putting out bumper stickers that said: "I lost it."
this was followed, inevitably, a few weeks later by yet another wave of stickers that read: "I am it."
Joe, my conclusion is that the best path for you to follow is to start your own religion where the central figure of worship is an unattainable camera bag and you are its primary prophet. That is your calling in life.
The atheist in me is slowly moving to the conclusion that the best bag might be no bag at all (though my house is littered with bags).
A camera in hand is far better than one in a bag.
Hypocrite that I am, since I do lots of shooting while bicycling, I do seem to make the most use these days (almost daily; gosh, this is starting to sound like a religion) of a Crumpler slung across my chest and shoulder. One body, one lens. When I traveled to DC this past weekend, it was two bodies, three lenses and assorted other crap in a Billingham. Too much stuff.
Joe, enjoy your new find, until of course, you move on, as you are wont to do, to the next thing. I'll be waiting to find out that will be.
