I got a big brass plate on my Canon TV Lens 50 mm / f0.95 how do I get it off?!

I think John is on to the most obvious possibility - make sure that the lens isn't held to the back plate by a standard bayonet mount before you start sawing or drilling. See if you can twist the two ears visible in picture 1 and remove it just like you would from a Canon 7 mount.

Here is a picture that may help - to unmount the lens you would grip and twist the stainless release ring to the left if facing the camera via the two ears/grips and the lens will fall right off...

I finally got that thing off! 🙂

I finally got that thing off! 🙂

Hi again I have totally forgot that I posted here 🙂

Anyhow today I finally got the big brass thing off.

Once I sawed the threads off from the big brass thing I could get a good grip on the rangefinder coupling and it was just to twist it and it slider right off!

Anyhow if anybody is interested in the lens you can email me at info@isakbergwall.se

Thank you for all your help!

With regards
