I agree that tiny lenses are wonderful yet I also think that one mid size lens such as the 35mm Lux is a better choice then 3 tiny lenses with a 25/35/40 spacings. Especially for street where it is more about the way you move around than the focal.

What about us who want attention on the street? Should we avoid small lenses?I highly recommend using small lenses on the street, as they attract little attention and are a delight to carry, even all day.

Of course!
My suggestion is an SLR w/ the biggest telephoto you can afford. Hang it off a strap that is just long enough to reach your crotch. Lots of attention. Even better if you have a flesh colored lens jacket!
They'll never even see the RF in your hands as you shoot

So what about your CV 35/1.2 and planned CV 50/1.1?

I prefer carrying 1 big lens to 4 small lenses.

The only thing I've found that draws attention is a big external viewfinder. That seems to make the camera look weird and people look at it. Big/small lenses, silver chrome/black kit - makes no difference.

..15, 28 & 40...
i still have them, the 40 sonnar will never leave my kit, i have two 28s, fast and slow, large and small, and the 15 is a given. the only change there might be over to the m mount version, someday.
i am blessed with a fast but bigger kit and a slow and smaller kit...best of all possible worlds.

Don't remind me :bang:
I tried one in a store in HK recently.
It looks so nice on my M4-P and more importantly, small.
And the smoothness of the rings are quite amazing.
I think I find my ultimate lens.

Take a TLR if you want attention.

With my rolleiflex and a tripod, everybody ignores me. I think they assume I am a surveyor.

I can't stand changing lenses out on the street so I've settled on using a 50mm for walks around the city (on film and FF). And even if I'm using the absolutely monstrous Canon 50mm L, it's still smaller in volume than having a bag full of glass.
In my experience I've also found that out on the street big does not necessarily equal conspicuous and further sometimes being conspicuous is BETTER (ie: if you are upfront with what you are doing you are perceived as less of a "threat").
