why don't i have too many tripods?
what is it about bags?
i know this is not just about me...i know many of YOU have too many camera bags also!
the really truly sad thing is that today i was thinking that i need yet another bag...something in leather and small enough to carry a body with lens and another lens...i could see it in my mind...nice smooth, buttery black leather, no inserts, deep enough to hold a camera with lens to the side, easy in and out...

I think I have at least 10 around my place, Joe. Some are "collectable" bags - old-fashioned Leica leather jobs. I think I have four new bags in regular use for the Leica M6, Nikon S3, X100 and Ricoh GXR. Found a wonderful old Omnica bag in great condition the other week at Camera Traders in Victoria. Had to resist it though. No room for too many "collectable" bags...Cheers all...Tony

I have three at the moment:

Think Tank Retro 5 (when I'm going out specifically to shoot)
Billingham Hadley large (used as a briefcase of sorts when on business trips)
Kata mini bee backpack (when I go hiking or on vacation to 'nature')

Though when its all said and done I typically just carry one camera and one lens 95% of the time when I'm local.

I'm good about donating or selling things I don't use, so I've probably had 10-15 different bags in th last 3 years

I have too many bags too, but they all seem to get an outing. My latest is a "dothebag" in leather and it doubles as a work bag on occasion. I will probably donate them when we move back to Oz, in the meantime my collection of Feds, Zorkis, and Kievs brought joy to a local university camera club, so I know that I can part with some things (I think).

Funny - I'm still perfectly happy with my Billingham, which you (Joe) recommended to me back in 2007!

A few weeks ago got a Tink Tank itywalker 10 and its a fine bag but too big for the smaller kit. So I contacted Randy at Think Tank and sugeted they produce something slimmer for us RF users. Something along the size of the Domke 803 but better. I even sugested just slimming down the Citywalker would be nice. Its lightweight, decent pockets and feels good.

I have currently:
Hadley original - only used as a flight bag or when the weather is really bad.
Bare Bones Bag - BBbe - not a bad size in the main compartment, the pockets are so tight to be fairly useless. Has to be worn bandolero style as it wont stay on your shoulder, even with the pad fitted. This is the early one that wont fit an ipad.
Bare Bone Bag - original - Used as a holiday bag when toting just a P&S,, sunglasses etc.
Lowepro Exchange Messenger - Now gets used as just that, a messenger bag and not a camera bag.
Think Tank Citywalker 10 - smallest of the range. bigger than the Hadley but very light. Nice materials, good pockets and stays on your shoulder thanks to a good grippy pad. Use it with a slimmer insert to make it less bulky. Possibily my fave so far but would love one made especially for an RF kit.

My now 5 year old Billingham Hadley large bought here in the classifieds, came almost full circle from Hawaii to Belgium and now to OZ, was recently joined by the small and that's it.

Camera's on the other hand.......

Ive been saving up for some time now.
